Hey folks, just thought I’d check in to let you know what’s been going on with me recently. I’ve been doing a few secret little gigs around London over the past couple of weeks. I haven’t advertised them at all because I’ve just been practising really, just doing it with my backing singers to see how the set worked acoustically. I didn’t want to make a fuss and didn’t even invite my friends down, so it was all very low-key, but they went down well.
I went to V Festival, just for a day. Watched the Saturdays, saw the Specials who were brilliant – Amy joined them on stage which was really cool. Watched Pete Doherty, who was good, especially when he did the Libertines stuff.
I popped down to Brighton for a bit with friends when we had that hot weather. Didn’t go in the sea though, I don’t trust it! Went to the Portobello Film Festival yesterday and saw a gangster film called Terry. I didn’t think I was going to like it at first because it was so violent, but I really got into it and actually found it quite moving towards the end. I’ve also developed a new obsession with bowling over the last few weeks. I’m actually really good! The first time I went I played against five boys and beat them all, and I’ve only lost once out of the past five goes.
Other than that I’ve been busy decorating my house. I started on the kitchen, which I’m making a bit like an American diner. I already had the diner-style chairs and table, and I went off to Camden to buy American car numberplates, stuff like that. I’m going to be turning my bedroom into a powder room, a bit like the Standing Tears Apart video, so I’ve been painting and moving a few things around.
That’s it for now – hope you’re all good and thanks for your continued support

Over the last couple of weeks I have had a great time! One of my highlights has been getting a new bike, I got an 80's fold up bike for £100 in Camden and have been riding her around town. It’s so much fun, I rode her all the way from my house in Highbury to Baker Street as I was going to see Oasis at Wembley with my friend Lotti. The boys were good but I have to say they weren’t as exciting as Blur were when I went to see them at Hyde Park.
My other highlights included doing a photo shoot for Instyle magazine with my friend Simon. It was hilarious, we had such a laugh and I can’t wait to see the pics! That week I went to see The Noisettes at the iTunes Festival at the Roundhouse. I thought they were really good, Shingais voice is amazing and she was brilliant with the crowd. The next day, my bike, who I named B, then went on her first date with a bike called Louie, they rode all around London, over London Bridge, down by the river and had a lovely time! Then I went to Lovebox, just in time to catch a bit of Duran Duran and then Friendly Fires who always put on a good show.
On Sunday I went to a wedding in Brighton, the couple who got married were some friends of mine I met whilst doing a play in Birmingham, their wedding was amazing and they asked me to sing. I couldn’t as I’d nearly choked to death on a bit of rocket at the dinner and so hurt my throat but I promised to sing at their 1 year anniversary!
This week I’m preparing for my upcoming radio tour, where I will be going round the country singing 4 of my own songs and my La Roux ‘Bulletproof’ cover as well as ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ by The Supremes! More details to follow.
Bye for now

Hello…
Thought I’d let you know what I’ve been up to over the last few days. Friday I went to see Blur at Hyde Park, which was brilliant. We had beautiful sunshine and all my friends were down there – we were up on each other’s shoulders and did a bit of crowd surfing. Afterwards we went on to Bungalow 8 and then the Blur after-party at Home House.
The next day I put up pink flamingo wallpaper with my mum, which looks really cool. Then my friends came over and we watched The Notebook and ate Chinese, pizza and Indian. It’s a lovely film, I’m not really a crier but that film does make me a bit emotional. I pulled the mattress from the spare room onto my bedroom floor and we had a sleepover that night, like being kids again!
On Sunday I went to a barbecue then took my friend’s dog for a walk in Primrose Hill. It constantly humped my leg, which was a bit embarrassing. Went to dinner afterwards and then watched The Hangover, which is very funny. Then we went on to the O2 Wireless party at Paramount. Saw lots of cool people there like Kanye West, Q-Tip, Sugababes, JLS and Shingai from the Noisettes.
Today I went to Dolce & Gabbanna for a fitting. They’re having a party on Thursday so they’re dressing me for it. I’ll be wearing a little dress with pockets that’s got kind of a nautical vibe, it’s red, white and blue, quite moddy, with heels and a red bag to match.
That’s it for now, I'll check in again soon.
Big love, Remi xx
I’m at the festival right now, having an amazing time. It’s absolutely boiling and I’m lying around in our winnebago in my underwear because it’s so hot!
I got here on Friday and met up with all my friends. We had a few drinks and then watched Jack Penate, who was amazing. I also saw Neil Young who was really boring, I nearly fell asleep. Then we went to Lily Allen’s after party for her gig and danced to Michael Jackson music until seven in the morning. Came back afterwards, went to sleep and kept getting woken up by everyone coming in at different times. Had a fry up later on and went to see Dizzee Rascal, and have just seen some amazing magic with Tinchy Stryder by street magician Dynamo.
It’s great having the winnebago, especially because we’ve got our own toilet so I don’t have to use the portaloos. Food-wise I’ve been mostly eating chips and burgers, although my manager came down on Saturday and bought me a meal in a really nice restaurant in the VIP bit – steak and chips, yum. It’s just all been really lovely, especially because it’s so warm. Me, Grimmy and my friend Gillian tried to hijack a stage yesterday, which was quite funny. Me and Grimmy made it across but Gillian got caught by the bouncers and thrown off down a ramp!
Hope you’re all having a great weekend. I'm going to have a little nap now, will send you some more news soon.
Love Remi xx
